The Bland Christmas House, Lethbridge.

Hubby was training today until lunchtime so I just chilled out making a few phone calls back to the uk using Skypeout whilst we have internet access in the Hotel, as it will be a little harder when we get moving in the truck.

This evening we decided to call on Inga and take a walk to the Christmas house in Lethbridge, which is on 4th Av S and 13th street S, home of the Bland family.

The camera does not do the scene justice, as it's really very pretty with the snow and the thousands of lights, and the family allow you to walk around their garden, as long as you close all the gates to stop the dogs escaping.

Even though it was minus 7 there was no wind chill and we had a very pleasant walk and now Mick is going to bed early to try and study for his written test.

Hey guys, I've been meaning to drop by and welcome you to Canada eh! I hope the unusual bone chilling temps haven't put a damper on your arrival. Most of Tammie's relatives live in Lethbridge so you may see one and not even know it. You've got to let us know if your travels ever bring you to the island. We are planning a trip back to Lethbridge in May, June or July. One way or another we need to get together for a pint or two. Hope you decide to stay on in the great white north. I wouldn't live anywhere else now. Welcome to Canada and stay warm and hope to see you guys soon.

Hi Rick
Thanks for the welcome and hopefully we will still be here when you pay a visit, and no, the weather has not put us off.
So far, we really like what we have seen of Canada and the people we have met here
I am not sure if the company deliver direct to the Island, but they certainly do deliver to Vancouver so maybe when Mick has settled into his job we can do a reset in Vancouver and get the ferry across.
Mick is not using the internet too much right now, as he is busy concentrating on getting his class one licence.
Hope you both have a great christmas.
Cath and Mick

Hi Mick and Cath,

It sure looks like Christmas in Lethbridge. It must be great with all the snow on the ground, a real Christmas feel!

Good luck with your test Mick, I'm sure you will pass. Has the Volvo got a crash box too? What's it like doing your training in the sub zero temperatures? You must be spinning out all over the place?

How are you coping Cath? Amanda is planning on coming with me also in the first few months. I think it will be best, as at least she wont be on her own and she can make coffee when I'm on the move :-)

Is the winter clothing expensive? I bet they have the real deal when it comes to quality winter jackets etc?

Take care and best wishes for your test Mick.

Andy and Amanda.

Hi you two.

Glad that your both ok and it is nice to talk the talk with you both.

That house is like the ones over here that I see in my travels but no rubbish on the ground and no chavs.

Will catch up with you soon, if not have a good Xmas.
